bubblechat lets a website owner put a paid chat room on their site. Anyone can read it for free. Sending a message costs the price the owner set, shown in the chat. By sending a message, or by creating an account, you agree to these terms.

How payment works

• When you press send, your card is only authorised. The money is reserved on your card, not taken.
• About 30 minutes after your message goes live, the payment is taken.
• Messages that contain a link are checked before they appear. If we reject yours, or remove it before the payment is taken, the hold is released and you pay nothing.
• Once a payment has been taken it is not refunded, unless you were charged by mistake or we removed your message because of our own error. Write to us and we will look at it.
• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number.

What you can post

You are responsible for your message, your name and your picture. Do not post:

• anything illegal, or anything that helps someone break the law
• scams, phishing, malware, or links meant to deceive
• hate, threats or harassment
• sexual content, or content that involves children in any way
• someone else's private information, or pretending to be someone else
• repeated or automated spam

Links in messages are paid placements. They are marked as sponsored and are not endorsed by us or by the website that shows the chat. Be careful what you click.

We may remove any message, name or picture at any time. A message, name and picture you post are public to everyone who visits the page.

If you run a room (site owners)

• You must own or control the site where the chat appears, and the domains you list.
• You set the price per message, from $2 to $100. After Stripe's card fee, we keep 20% and you earn the rest. The dashboard shows an estimate; Stripe's actual fees can differ.
• Earnings become payable 30 days after a message is paid. Payouts start at $10, need a confirmed email, and are paid by hand to the details you give us.
• If a payment is charged back or refunded, we take your earning back and charge a $15 chargeback fee. A balance can go negative, and we may withhold it from later earnings.
• You are responsible for the messages on your room. Approve links before they appear where you can, and delete anything that breaks these rules. We may pause or disable any room, and suspend any account, at any time, for example for abuse, fraud or illegal content.
• Do not post messages yourself to inflate your earnings, or pay your own room with cards you do not own.
• Payments are held and paid by us. We use Stripe for card processing and may ask you to verify your identity before paying out.

Pictures

If you upload a picture, you confirm you have the right to use it. We shrink it to a small square and show it next to your message.

The service

bubblechat is provided as it is. We may change it, pause it or close a room. If a room closes before your payment is taken, you are not charged. To the extent the law allows, our responsibility to you is limited to the amount you paid for the message in question.
